You grow by building with others. You co-create products, join collectives, align with complementary brands, and tap into shared audiences. You’re a builder of collectives.
Good feelings? It really put my whole ass life into perspective which has basically been "How can I give parts of my company to any human for a little help?"
For sure! I love everything you said! But I have mixed feelings too. 😝 On one hand, this makes me think, "What am I waiting for? Let's go!" Like, a few days ago I literally wrote a post on my Facebook about the obsession I've had with collaboration ever since I was a kid. And I want to stop holding back and stop thinking, "someday, when I'm ready."
At the same time, "Someday when I'm ready," is a realistic thing to think. 😅 I mean, you have a whole section on who you should and shouldn't partner with. You said, "strong Collaborators only build with other strong brands." So then I'm wondering what I need to do to make my brand stronger so I can become someone who's ready for all this. I don't want to be the weak link, you know?
I also really want to bring people in on projects in my Animal Magica world, and as you said, that can require "top dollar," since it's something I've already built (some of it, anyway) and own. 😅 So do I need to be making more money first? Maybe? 🤔
And am I overthinking all of this??? Possibly??? 🤣😆🤪😂
I mean, strong is relative, too. I would say you have a strong brand, not just a BIG brand. I know exactly what you do, and your stuff resonates. That is a STRONG brand. You would come in as the junior partner, probably, like I did with Monica, but anyone who knows how to make money would be like I know how to make money on that brand. You are equating strong with big, and they are not even close to the same.
I have so many feelings about this article. I have a lot to think about...

Thank you. That helps. 🙂
I don’t introduce people to my serious friends if I don’t think they have the chops Tanya. Believe that.
